Mindset Over Matter:

A DIFFERENT SORT OF WORKOUT

We know our minds are powerful, yet how much do we use them to empower ourselves? My husband Glenn has always told me, “Thoughts are things.” When I first started my business, I did a lot of inner work on changing my beliefs about money and developing a healthy mindset about what was possible.

Today, I build on that original foundation and add to it a different sort of mental workout that supports me in manifesting my desires.

I Give Myself Permission To Be Me
For most of my life I looked to others for approval. I now have learned that just because someone else would do something one way, doesn’t mean I have to it the same way. We must have the courage to do life on our terms.

Bookworm Bliss
I read regularly. Even if it’s a page or two at a time. I find that filling my mind with new and high vibrational information inspires me to get my next creative idea.

Create a Miracle
The Course in Miracles says that, “Miracles occur naturally as expressions of love. When a miracle doesn’t occur, something has gone wrong.” In our lives, sometimes we leave prayer as a last resort, versus starting with prayer. And I believe on any given day, most of women entrepreneurs could use a miracle—whether it’s attracting a new client or team member, or getting a breakthrough idea. Ask for a miracle today.

gina-stretch Speak My Truth (Hopefully) In Love
In those moments when it’s hard to say out loud what you’re really thinking, I used to stay quiet for fear of making someone else uncomfortable. These days I practice speaking up and being visible. It’s a much more empowered approach to life.

Trimming The Waistline
Most of us know that the benefits of a workout are as much mental as they are physical. I love my “me time” as I jog along the Santa Barbara coastline most mornings. It helps me feel awake and alive inside, plus it clears my mind for a powerful and productive day.

  Foodie Fabulous
This is my favorite post-workout reward. Adding dark, leafy greens to your smoothie is an amazing way to boost your immune system and stay alkaline. The best part is you can make it with whatever you have on hand—just stick to the basic ratio of 2 cups greens, 1 cup non-dairy liquid, and 1 cup fruit. Feel free to get creative and add healthy ingredients like flax seeds, or punch up the flavor with fresh herbs.

On any given day, I might grab whatever’s in season at the farmer’s market to throw in my blender, but year-round this recipe remains a favorite. The creamy texture and complex flavor make it a real treat. Remember, indulgence can be healthy too.
