I lovvvvvvvvve this place! After one of my Academy events in Sydney, I took my team here for a fun night out on the town, and we laughed so hard we cried (which is typically how our team dinners go). Buzzing with a vibrant mix of business execs, designers, artists, and jet-setters, the lively atmosphere at this happening downtown restaurant simply cannot be beat. Plus, the Peking Duck is super delish—and so were all of the other dishes my team and I ordered!

Mr. Wong is housed in a large, two-story warehouse space that has been done up in warm layers of colonial furnishings, transporting you into an exceptionally chic 1930’s teahouse. Chef Erik Koh, formerly of Michelin-Star-winning London restaurant Hakkasan, has designed an ambitious food program that includes over 60 menu items, a dim sum kitchen, and a roast meats counter. Serving a light, refined take on classic Cantonese dishes with a focus on high-quality ingredients, Koh has quickly established a following in Australia. Just remember that Mr. Wong only takes reservations for groups of six or more — something to take advantage of as you plan a night out in Sydney with your best group of girlfriends.
