Being the Woman Who Goes For It
My time in London surrounded by global movers and shakers inspired me to think about my next level of fearlessness. In a city where the bar is high but the sky’s the limit, you’re reminded of how endless life’s possibilities truly are, and just how good it can get for those who dare to go for their dreams.
As the finale to our October adventure in England, this week is all about shattering your own glass ceiling. It takes courage to drop your fears and reach for your next level, so this week I’m sharing the exact formula I use with clients to help you break through the blocks.
My hope is that all of you will see how the limits melt away once you’ve identified and released your fears. And once you’ve done that, your next essential step will be getting crystal clear on your desires. I know you’ve heard it from me before, but I cannot say it enough because it’s a never-ending process. You’d think I myself would have it down, but in fact just a few weeks ago the Universe reminded me of how important it is for a woman to give herself the space to reflect on what she wants in life—even twelve years into a career.
What was the reminder? Well, it was one of those “be careful what you wish for” moments and you can read all about it in this month’s Behind the Divine, where I tell the conflicted story of my California homecoming. Speaking of being back in the States, we felt the need to nod to one of the tallest glass ceilings that’s due for a shattering. With Clinton pulling ever closer to the finish line in the US Presidential race, we have our favorite trend forecaster Lynn Casey here to speak to the status of women in leadership.
One thing we’re never afraid to do here at Divine Living—is have some fun. Thankfully, we still have places to go and people to meet in London. First, I’m thrilled to introduce a very cool British woman entrepreneur I met at the Golden Door, Karen Stone Talwar. Check out our interview with Karen for a whirlwind tour through the world of high-end art, precious fine jewelry and fascinating private collections as she takes us behind the scenes of her business, Adventures in Art.
If you’re considering a London adventure in your future, then you’re invited to start dreaming up the details with our most expansive Divine Living City Guide yet. Of course if you’re headed to the land of Lords and Ladies you’ll also need to know how to speak with a royal because naturally everyone has a Duchy these days. Study up with our cheeky breakdown of the UK’s Royal rankings and find out why you’re not allowed to call Kate Middleton Princess Kate (we’re sorry).
