In Vegas on Business?
Retreat from the Hustle to
the Intimate Luxury of
You may already be familiar with Las Vegas’s rising reputation as a global business center. The entrepreneurial scene is bustling with start-ups, and the city is a major destination for conferences, being home to the largest convention center in the world.
Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas
It’s one of the only resorts on the strip without a casino, which gives it a slightly quieter, more peaceful essence. Between the fantastic service, high-quality spaces and wonderful restaurants, it has everything you need to have a glam Vegas experience, while offering a retreat from the party atmosphere. Read on for a closer look at my fabulous time at this high-level resort!
I personally loved spending time at Mandarin Oreintal’s rich and cozy spa, where I got ready for a long day of photo shoots with an energizing massage in my own private suite. The lovely outdoor pool and cabana area is also a bit more subdued (yet still glamorous) then your typical Vegas scene, which is great if you’re looking for serenity and rest. I also love their chic poolside bar if you’re in the mood for a late afternoon dip and cocktail (this is still Vegas after all!).
Do Business In Style
If you’re meeting with a client or business partner, you might consider having High Tea at the hotel’s intimate upper level bar. The space is smaller than what you normally see in Vegas, which gives it a more exclusive vibe, and the views through the floor to ceiling windows are spectacular.
Many of the suites at Mandarin Oriental come with a chic office space where you can work while enjoying expansive city and desert views. Some of the larger suites are also great for hosting coaching intensives, with full living rooms, long dining tables and plenty of space to feel open and comfortable.
And since we’re here in Vegas to dream big, I have to say, the ultimate place to host an event would have to be the hotel’s famous Emperor’s Suite. This is a truly high-vibrational, sprawling space that even comes with its own gym and full-service kitchen!
Shop, Dine & Play
Like A High Roller
Now while you could totally have a very serene and luxe experience just hanging out at the hotel, the best part is that you still have just as much access to fun! Mandarin Oriental is part of Vegas’s CityCenter, in the heart of the strip and surrounded by some of the best nightlife.
I’m absolutely in love with the restaurant here, Twist. It’s the only place in America where you can experience Chef Pierre Gagnaire’s impeccable cuisine. Having dined at his 3 Michelin Star restaurant in Paris, it was really special for me
to be able to enjoyhis food so close to home in this glam and playful setting.
And did I mention the shopping? From the Mandarin Oriental you’re just a quick indoor stroll from the beautiful Crystals shopping center, so you (or your assistant) won’t have to carry your Dior and Pucci bags very far. And you don’t have to take
a car to do a little gambling either, as you can walk through indoor bridges to the glitzy casinos at the nearby Cosmopolitan, or take a quick outdoor stroll to Aria.
When you’re in town on business, I’ve found that the Mandarin Oriental provides a really valuable place to do Vegas a little differently. For the woman entrepreneur needing a luxurious place to focus and rejuvenate, I can’t recommend it enough.
