Bringing Bali Home

This week in Divine Living we’re going to be talking all about how to integrate some of the ancient practices I found in Bali into our fast-paced, jet-set lives.

Now that we’ve seen some of the best luxury and glamour the island has to offer, I want to share with you Bali’s more spiritual side. I have to say, I wasn’t expecting it quite at this level, but being there truly did open me up to a new spiritual essence. It wasn’t my first time in Southeast Asia, but it was the first time I allowed myself to visit for a full month, so I was able to fully discover some Eastern approaches to wellness and self-care that were new and truly divine to explore!

I’m delighted to share with you the story of Umaa, the beautiful Ayurvedic Healer with whom I had the privilege of spending almost 3 hours with under a thatched roof hut in Ubud. As I listened to the rain on the jungle plants, it was she who helped me to see what I truly desired and instigated my longer stay in Bali. This wise woman lead me to my truth so that I could feel the strength to actually give myself the gift of two weeks offline in a serene Ayurvedic resort.

Immersed in this special program, I had the opportunity to learn just enough about Ayurvedic medicine, which combines spirituality, psychology, nutrition, and much more to heal you on a very individualized level. The 13-Day Ayurvedic Cleanse I did after my session with Umaa was special and nourishing for me, and this week I’m sharing some of the biggest lessons I learned so that you might apply them to your life today.

We’ll also dive into another edition of my “Money Rules” column, as this week I’m talking about a spiritual practice as old as civilization that has new meaning for us women entrepreneurs today.

I have to say—the people, ideas, and energy I found in Bali have continued to fuel my body, mind, and spirit. Ultimately the experience reinforced for me the fact that you never know when you’re done learning, transforming, or trying new ways of living. I’m thrilled to share my personal experience of Bali with you here, and hope it inspires you to always seek new heights as you move along your spiritual path.

  All My Love,
