Now that we’ve visited my hometown of Santa Barbara in the first issue of Divine Living, it’s time to hop a plane all the way to the opposite side of the globe, to a city I know less intimately but continue to fall madly in love with—Sydney, Australia!
I’ve had the privilege of visiting Sydney three times in the past year and a half. Though not long ago, Australia’s largest and most cosmopolitan city wasn’t even on my radar. It just seemed so far away! Well, I’m here to tell you that it’s not. It’s just a plane ride away—two movies and a night’s sleep in jetsetter terms. For me, taking the plunge across the Pacific to this beautiful city has been full of fun and adventure—so much so that I just could not wait to share my experience with you.
In Sydney I found incredible places to dine and shop, which now rank among my favorite in the world. From the chic seasonal restaurant Chiswick to Camilla’s Caftans in beautiful Bondi Beach, they can all be found in this issue’s Divine Living City Guide, arriving later this month.
Throughout my travels, I’ve had the opportunity to meet some of Australia’s most stylish and exciting female entrepreneurs, whom I’ve asked to share their expert recommendations and Aussie insights into business and life. In the coming weeks, you’ll hear from some of the most famous women Down Under, like food and lifestyle icon Donna Hay, interior designer Michelle Leslie, and fashion designer Fleur Wood.
Inspired by the sumptuous raw oysters I ate while overlooking the iconic Harbor Bridge, we’re kicking off the Sydney Issue with my Girl’s Guide to oysters around the world. As we indulge, I’ll be sharing my new necessities for jetsetter travel, as well as six ways to redesign your money story and get ready to attract what you’ve been craving.
As you’ll soon discover, Sydney has a lot to offer chic women entrepreneurs who are ready to go global in business and life. Stick with me as we learn cocktail recipes from the city’s top mixologists and visit its most luxurious spas. I hope you enjoy a close up view of this amazing city through my Divine Living lens!
