A Feminine Perspective on Money, Leadership
& Life as an Entrepreneur
Business is at the core of this magazine. For those of us who dare to desire a bigger, better life of meaning, purpose, impact, adventure and fun, it’s what makes it all possible. And even more important than what we can achieve as women entrepreneurs, is who we will become in the process.
I always say, if you want the best personal development seminar on the planet—start your own business. Becoming a leader—first of yourself, then of your clients, team and beyond—is a challenging process that will grow you in ways you cannot anticipate.
While the journey is mostly unpredictable, we at Divine Living Magazine are here to support you, letting you in on what I wish I had known when I first started my business 12 years ago, and everything I’m figuring out through my present ups and downs.
Unlike the typical business content you see out there, we’re proud to present a feminine perspective on creating a profitable business. By now you know that my philosophy is all about balance, and does not require anyone to wear a boring charcoal pantsuit, work 12 hour days, or give up the things they’re passionate about.
Looking back on the past two years, I’m proud to see such a comprehensive guide to creating a business that reflects your authentic self, supports you abundantly and above all, services others. This week, we’ve pulled together all the most popular business stories that are worthy of a second look.
Where to begin? Perhaps with the first question any new woman entrepreneur must ask herself: who are you meant to serve? I’ve realized that in fact, this is a question you have to keep asking as you and your business evolve, so now’s your chance to master the process.
You might also like to skip to a collection of my most humbling moments with seven things I wish I knew when I first started my business. Or maybe you’re feeling creative, in which case you’ll love to check out my five steps to branding brilliance (I know what it is to have website shame!).
For those of you who are killing it in business, but feeling too overstressed, overworked and under-supported to go to your next level—then we need to talk. It might be time for you to hire an assistant, start doing business like a jetsetter, or uplevel your product offering by hosting luxury retreats.
The other thing we get that men-centric magazines often don’t? When you’re an entrepreneur, life and business intersect and overlap at every turn and your wellbeing is one of your greatest assets. So the week wouldn’t be complete without stories like “Womanhood without Motherhood?” and “the Truth About Men and Money.”
Having recently returned from our Divine Living Academy three-day event in Maui, I was proud to see how diverse our community is, with women at all different levels and stages in life, from over 100 countries!
I think this diversity is a big part of what makes our community so powerful, and I hope that in this week’s collection of stories there might be a lesson or two for everyone, and experiences that all of us as women in business can relate to, no matter where we’re at. Please do let us know what resonates most with you as we move into our third year together.
