Gorgeous Mountain Town

Glenn and I had such a blast together in Jackson Hole. Our week there was full of delicious local food, exciting outdoor adventures, and plenty of romantic relaxation. There is still much left for us to explore, but we’ve put together all of our favorite spots along with some highly recommended excursions that we can’t wait to try next time. Enjoy!

The Four Seasons, Jackson Hole

I’ve been to Four Seasons resorts around the world, and this one truly blew me away. As far as I’m concerned, it represents the best in mountain luxury. It’s the only Forbes 5-Star ski resort in the country, but also a divine and fun-filled destination year round, with an excellent concierge service to coordinate private luxury adventures into the wild.

In contrast to the traditional lodge vibes at the Four Seasons, Amangani provides a more modern, chic take on Jackson Hole. This casual spot is a local’s favorite recommended by the Four Seasons Jackson Hole Concierge to only “the most laid-back guests.” Serving classic American comfort food with craft beer on tap, it’s a great spot for gourmet burgers and drinks with your guy, or even a delightful Sunday brunch.

The Divine Living team stopped at Café Genevieve for lunch and had such a blast! The southern-inspired local food was so delicious, and I particularly loved my Reuben sandwich. The restaurant is inside a historic log cabin, serves breakfast, lunch, brunch, and dinner, and features barrel aged cocktails and a great wine and beer list to boot.

Glenn and I shared two dinners by the fire here at the Four Seasons and loved every minute. The Westbank Grill is an elegant mountain steakhouse showcasing the best in game meat, and I was such a big fan of the elk chop that I ordered it twice! Plus, it was a cozy setting for breakfast and lunch.

Local was my favorite restaurant in town. After a couple of days of shooting, the DL magazine team enjoyed our wrap dinner here. We loved the fun, modern vibe of the dining room, which is centered around a massive bar, and were really impressed by the seasonal, locally-sourced American steakhouse cuisine.

Perched atop the summit of Bridger Gondola, this renowned restaurant is known for spectacular views of the valley and a truly unique fine dining experience. Taking the Jackson Hole local food craze to its apex, the Chef here strictly sources ingredients from within a 250 mile radius for his seasonal, prix-fixe dinner menu.

This adorable bakery in town is beloved for its absolutely delicious breads and pastries. Using the highest quality ingredients and traditional processes, their baked goods achieve a rustic elegance and depth of flavor. I had the lemon ricotta bread, and was blown away!

Perfectly suited to the mountain setting, the luxurious alpine spa at the Four Seasons has a great rustic elegance about it. I had a fabulous morning unwinding in this full-service retreat that features Swiss-style private suites and cozy areas for lounging by the fire. Just outside the doors, you’ll find relaxing hot tubs with mountain views.

For the quintessential wild west saloon experience, you’ll definitely want to pop in here. Built in 1890, the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar was one of the first commercial buildings in Jackson, and so has plenty of history to back up the vibe.

Fly Fishing with the Four Seasons​​

Glenn and I loved our private fly fishing excursion led by the Four Seasons. We were taken out on our own wooden boat, provided all the necessary equipment, taught by an expert, and then served a fabulous picnic lunch on the riverbank. If you’re not staying at the FS, you can also coordinate a day with Grand Teton Fly Fishing.

Grand Teton is a beautiful pristine ecosystem flourishing with wildlife and home to the tallest mountain in the Teton range. There are over 200 miles of trails to explore in this breathtaking national park.


Yellowstone National Park

Established in 1872, Yellowstone is America’s first national park and quite a bit larger than Grand Teton to the south. Home to many of the world’s preserved geysers, such as Old Faithful, and the beautiful Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, the sights here are truly magnificent.

If you’re curious to learn a bit about the old wild west, a trip to the Jackson Hole Museum gives you a peak into the lives of generations past. An outstanding collection of artifacts and photographs preserves the rich history of the area’s peoples, from Native Americans to later pioneers and cowboys.

Northwest Wyoming is a skier’s paradise. The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village (where the Four Seasons is) features two mountains, Apres Vous and Rendezvous, with a vertical drop of over 4,000 feet and 2,500 acres of prime ski terrain. This area is known for steep drops, but a number of beginner and intermediate runs are available if you’d rather take it slow.
