High-End Retreats in Bali

S A SUCCESS COACH, HOSTING GLAMOROUS AND DEEPLY
TRANSFORMATIONAL retreats abroad is one of my favorite parts of what I do. When I first decided to integrate my passion for travel and luxury into my business, it took a lot of courage both financially and emotionally, since these elements could not be found elsewhere in the coaching industry. However it quickly became clear that I wasn’t the only woman who desired luxurious experiences in beautiful destinations. Tapping into this desire so many of us share, I saw that my international events, intensives, and retreats inspired women to rethink what was possible for them and get really excited about creating a new life.

Part of the power of any destination retreat is to create a “pattern interrupt,” which means taking someone out of their day-to-day habits and opening them up to new perspectives. Earlier this year, I kicked off The Entrepreneur, my 12-Month Mentorship Program for the next women millionaires, with an exclusive 3-day, 4-night retreat in Bali.

Whether you’re thinking about hosting a private luxury
intensive for a high-end client, or a retreat for a small
group of clients, I wanted to share with you some of
the elements that I’ve found really give the experience
an unforgettable wow-factor, and unveil my full
itinerary for a wonderful Balinese escape.

1 Align the Energy

essential-1

When choosing a location for a retreat, you want to really dig into what you’re looking to accomplish and how the local vibes will help support your client’s goals. The energy in London is very different from the energy in Marrakech, which is very different from Paris, the South of France, or Bali. I specifically chose Bali to launch my next women millionaires program because I wanted to begin on a grounded, spiritual note, to inspire the women to deeply connect with their vision, and tap into a power that is in them and not of them. To build a business and brand that is even bigger than yourself is not something anyone can do alone—having a spiritual connection is what lifts us and helps us create what the A Course Miracles calls “effortless accomplishment.” Bali’s serene energy was perfect for this goal.

2 Select a Luxurious Venue

essentials-3

The vibration of the venue will absolutely lift up or bring down the work that you’re doing as a coach, consultant, or creative person. For my retreat in Bali, I chose the Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay, where each private villa had its own infinity pool. I wanted these women to experience what life could be like when they accomplish their goal of becoming millionaires, and understand that living luxuriously is not something that’s only okay for celebrities, but for themselves. These women give so much in their every day life to their clients, their husbands, their businesses and for some of them, their children, so I wanted them to be given to, supported, nurtured, and placed in a beautiful environment that would soon become their new normal.

3 Make it Personal and Unique to Your Brand

essentials-2

When you’re planning out the details of your private intensives or retreats, it’s important to understand why your clients are coming to you, and what you can uniquely offer them. Women come to me in search of both a meaningful career and a luxurious lifestyle, so I always incorporate a certain amount of business coaching, personal life and femininity work, and really fun lifestyle events. And since there is a high-touch aspect to what I do, I always infuse my retreats with personalized details that really take the experience to the next level. I make sure there is a note from me awaiting the women when they arrive, plus glorious flower arrangements in their room (or other special welcome gifts), and curated menus for every meal that give them a sense of VIP treatment.

Here’s The Ultimate Itinerary I created for the Bali Retreat

Welcome Night:
Sunset Cocktails

Once everyone arrived in Bali, checked in and freshened up, I hosted a glam cocktail party overlooking the ocean at the Four Seasons’ fabulous Terrace Bar and Lounge. It was a lovely time for us to get together, cheers, and celebrate just getting ourselves out to Bali—which had been a lifelong dream for most of the participants. Remember ladies, it doesn’t always have to be about business, it’s good to make time for connection and fun.

Day 1

MORNING: Coaching in Style

Jimbaran2

I rented out a luxe two-bedroom suite just for our coaching sessions. I wanted it to be comfortable, private, beautiful, and protected. I had beverages, breakfast, and gourmet delights on hand so nothing was lacking, plus I also made sure there would be AC and WiFi (remember it’s not necessarily standard everywhere in the world). We began with prayer and meditation before moving into coaching, and took a break for lunch in a private section of the restaurant, where the chef had our custom created menus waiting. In the afternoon we returned to the suite for more coaching, and I worked with each woman to see herself and her business goals more clearly and get the breakthroughs she was looking for from the retreat.

Afternoon: A Lively Cocktail Workshop
After wrapping the afternoon of coaching, we lightened things up with a super fun cocktail crafting class. We learned to make exotic drinks with local ingredients, and each woman went behind the bar and created her own cocktail based on her favorite flavors. We had such a blast trying new things and learning this skill together.

Night: Divine Time
We wrapped the day before dinner, at around 6:30pm. As the coach you’re giving so much during the day, I don’t recommend having dinner with your clients and making it into a 14 hour work day. If you wrap for the evening, the participants get time to bond and have dinner together, and you can have an evening to yourself, perhaps get a massage so you are well rejuvenated the next day.

Day 2

Morning: A Trip to theMarket & A Private Cooking Class
We started the day by meeting in the lobby. I had the hotel book us a private van that took us to the market, where the Chef personally showed us where he got his fish and gave us a taste of the local culture. We then headed back to the Four Seasons and convened in their private kitchen for a memorable Balinese cooking class. This was another fabulous pattern interrupt that invited us all to learn something new and share it together.

Afternoon: Finding New Awareness
For lunch we got to enjoy our wonderful delights, then took a break before heading back to the suite for more coaching. After anchoring in new awareness from the day, we wrapped again for free time around 6:30 pm.

Day 3

Morning: Final Coaching Session & Ladies Lunch

patio

We met again at the suite for a last round of coaching. With everyone really clear on their visions, goals, and next steps, we took a private van to Soleil restaurant on Nosa Dua Beach for the kind of fabulous ladies lunch we women entrepreneurs don’t always make time for, but should! We enjoyed delectable seafood and beautiful bottles of rosé to celebrate our accomplishments.

Afternoon: The Wow-Factor
After lunch, we headed to the Ritz Carlton nearby, where I arranged a private perfume making class in our own chic laboratory space. This unique four-hour workshop used only the finest essences from Indonesia, which is one of the biggest producers of perfume ingredients globally. Each woman got to design her own high-end fragrance, and each named it after her own brand! For those of us creating lifestyle brands, the one-of-a-kind experience helped connect us to a greater vision. I am now the proud creator of two fragrances, named not unexpectedly: Divine Living and Gina DeVee.

Night: Completion Ceremony
After the wonderful class, excitement was high, and we headed back to the Four Seasons for a completion ceremony, to celebrate all of our new insights and the amazing time we shared together.
